POWER OF ATTORNEY/PROCURATION- $125.00 +

A Louisiana Power of Attorney (POA) is a legal document that allows an individual (the "principal") to designate another person (the "agent" or "attorney-in-fact") to act on their behalf in personal, financial, or healthcare matters. Louisiana law recognizes various types of POAs, including General POAs, which grant broad authority, and Limited POAs, which specify particular powers or transactions. Durable POAs remain effective even if the principal becomes incapacitated, while healthcare POAs focus on medical decisions. All POAs in Louisiana must be signed and properly notarized to ensure validity and legal enforceability. ***Requires a complementary 15-minute consultation

Last Will and Testament- $225.00 +

A Louisiana Last Will and Testament is a deeply personal document that allows you to express your final wishes and ensure your loved ones are cared for after your passing. It gives you the ability to decide how your property, assets, and belongings will be distributed and allows you to name a trusted person to handle your estate. In Louisiana, unique inheritance laws like forced heirship can impact how your assets are allocated, so creating a will ensures your intentions are clearly documented and legally recognized. To make it official, your will must be written, signed, witnessed, and often notarized. Having a will brings peace of mind, knowing your family will have clear guidance during a difficult time.

***Requires a 15-minute consultation. Limit 3 pages (additional $10 per page). To ensure state requirements are met. Documents must be drafted in house. Our notaries are more than happy to meet with you and your attorney for consultation.

Small Succession Affidavit (Estate Gross Value $120,000 or less)- $435.00 +

A compassionate and straightforward way for families to handle a loved one’s estate after their passing. It is designed to simplify the process when the estate is modest or meets specific criteria, such as when the person passed away without a will or owned limited property and the estate’s value does not exceed a gross value of $120,000. This affidavit allows heirs to claim property or assets without going through lengthy court proceedings, providing relief during an already emotional time. To ensure everything is done correctly, the document must include detailed information about the deceased, their heirs, and their assets, and it must be signed, notarized, and properly recorded according to Louisiana law. It’s a practical tool that helps families navigate the legal steps with ease and care.

***Requires a 15-minute consultation. Limit 3 pages (additional $10 per page). To ensure state requirements are met. Documents must be drafted in house. Our notaries are more than happy to meet with you and your attorney for consultation.
